This is Young Ninjas
Lukas Berć @ 2021-01-15 15:29:16 +0100New year, new Ninjas in Pyjamas. It sounds mysterious, doesn’t it? Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, yet. We are still the same legendary organization that has been around for over two decades, but do you remember how we wrapped up 2020 talking about the importance of building the esports players of tomorrow?
Young Ninjas, that’s what we call them. Amazing talents ready to give it their all to transform into future superstars. We’ve already announced the team’s ingame leader and shot caller Erik “ztr” Gustafsson, and now we'll let coach Fredrik “JAEGARN” Andersson announce the other young guns in his own words:
Linus “nilo” Bergman:
Only 15 years old, but he’s already showcasing true ninja awareness by reading his opponents and taking peeks at the right time. Incredible movement and raw aim.
Tim “Mann3n” Isak:
As confident ingame as humble outside of it. Unreal aim and one of the most offensive players on the Swedish scene, which will certainly raise a lot of eyebrows in 2021.
Love “phzy” Smidebrant:
Every Sensei’s dream. Listens and adapts to calls with perfection. With incredible reflexes, Love was handpicked as Young Ninjas’ primary sniper. Has the potential to become one of Europe’s very best with the green gun.
Anton “Sapec” Palmgren:
This guy has it all. Entries, great comms, impactful clutches and the ability to call on a high tier level. A true all rounder and one of the hardest working talents on the Swedish scene.
Young Ninjas will play their first official match tonight, 19:00 CET, in Shadow League Season One, where they will face Project X.
NIP’s Chief Operating Officer, Jonas Gundersen, comments on the new team:
Embarking on the journey of academy squads while focusing on providing extra value to the Swedish grassroots is one of the most exciting things we’ve done for a while. The guys we’ve picked here are a great mix of leadership, talent and raw skill. It’s our ambition that the Young Ninjas will be the pathway into the A team in the future, and we’ve got a lot of formidably interesting tournaments lined up for the guys to prove themselves in. Can’t wait to see this project evolve over the next years - we’re in it for the long run!
