As we progress further in the world of esports and expand our legacy with new game titles and opportunities, it is with great pride and excitement that we’re able to reveal the next major step for Ninjas in Pyjamas. Please give a warm welcome to our brand new Dota 2 roster.
That’s right we’re stepping back into professional Dota 2 with some of the best players the game has to offer, and with this roster, we’re aiming at nothing but the top. For the long-time Ninjas in Pyjamas fans, you’ll know that it’s not our first venture into the scene. However, with these top tier players all coming together under the NiP banner, we’re confident that we have found the right ingredients to conquer the space and further expand on our legacy as a world-class, multi-gaming organization. I’ve only just joined NiP but they believe in my team and in the game I love so I’m feeling pretty blessed. We’ve only just begun but the passion and dedication this team has shown since its formation has been inspiring. I’m new to NiP but what I’ve figured out so far is that they love Dota ALMOST as much as I do. We hope you enjoy our games!
Peter “ppd” Dager, age 26, is a veteran Dota player with multiple titles under his belt, including a first place finish at The International in 2015. He serves as the captain and position 5 for the NiP squad and with his experience, he’s the perfect fit for the job.
Next up is Adrian “Fata” Trinks, age 25, a German born gaming talent, who will be switching from his previous role of offlane back to midlane where he began his career nearly a decade ago. Fata finished 5th at this year’s International and we’re looking forward to seeing him continue that momentum with NiP.
We continue on with our third member; Marcus “Ace” Hoelgaard. The 24-year-old Danish carry player who competed alongside Fata last year with Team Secret where he had his best year to date. Ace was considered one of last year’s breakout players of the year and we are excited to see what he can do in black and gold.
Martin “Saksa” Sazdov, age 23, will be playing our position 4. The Macedonian gamer has an impressive track record, participating in a slew of Valve events including a 2nd place finish at TI6. Welcome aboard, Martin!
Lastly, we have Neta “33” Shapira. The Israeli 21-year-old competed alongside PPD last season with OpTic Gaming where they finished in the top 8 at TI8. He will be continuing this season as the team’s offlaner. Neta is notorious for his wide hero pool and outstanding performance on micro-based heroes such as Broodmother and Visage.
People at Ninjas in Pyjamas and Betway love DotA2, and it is with great excitement we have been chosen as the home of a world class DotA2 team led by Peter “PPD” Dager. We have over the last year been keeping our eyes on the DotA2 scene, evaluating several opportunities for entry, to return to the game. An opportunity like this is rare, and we are thrilled to have such an experienced and talented team here at Ninjas in Pyjamas. Welcome, Peter, Adrian, Martin, Neta and Marcus!
