We say welcome to Sayf - an update on our Valorant roster
Lukas Berć @ 2020-09-17 17:59:12 +0200We’re happy to announce Saif “Sayf” Jibraeel as our newest addition to our Valorant roster. Sayf joins the NiP family after an exciting couple of months where he - alongside our new Head Coach eMIL - achieved very promising results under the BONK banner.
This also means we’re benching HyP and Fearoth. We would like to thank both for their hard work and dedication as we also look for a fifth player to complete our roster.
Jonas Gundersen, Chief Operating Officer at NiP:
“The competitive scene has progressed rapidly over the past months and we have to conclude that we’ve fallen further behind. Becoming a top tier contender on the global scene remains a priority for NiP and we’ve had to evaluate our position. Sometimes a group of five just doesn’t come together to bring out the best of each other, and even though time played together can be a factor, we decided to continue in a different direction without HyP and Fearoth. Adding Emil as a coach - and Sayf into the lineup - provides us with fresh eyes and new opportunities, combined with raw firepower. I’m very excited about our next chapter. Lastly, I want to thank both HyP and Fearoth for their loyalty and professionalism while in NiP, and wish them nothing but the best for the future.”
Our new Head Coach Emil “eMIL” Sandgren shares his thoughts on the roster change:
“Coming into NiP, it was clear that we weren’t performing as well as we wanted to, and Sayf is one of the most versatile players in the scene. He got my attention during our time together in Bonk, and I can say with confidence that he is a future star. In my mind he is one of the best Valorant players already and I’m happy to have him onboard. I think these changes were necessary and I will continue to work hard to make us a top tier contender!”
