EU LCS Summer finals are headed to France

This week it was announced that the EU LCS Summer finals are going to be held in Paris, France. The battlegrounds will be at AccorHotels Arena, from September 2nd until September 3rd. After a so-far disappointing split, can G2 up their game and hold onto their title as Kings of Europe? 

What the teams are competing for

During the summer finals, the teams will be fighting to represent Europe at the 2017 World Championships in China. Last split, G2 convincingly beat Unicorns of Love in the finals, claiming their place as Spring split champions. This year, the competition is raised as Fnatic aims to retake their crown, with several hungry teams in their heels. 

  • 1st Place – Qualifies as the first team to represent Europe at the 2017 World Championships in China
  • 2nd Place – 90 Pts
  • 3rd Place – 70 Pts
  • 4th Place – 50 Pts

Title of Summer split Champions still up for grabs

A month into the competition, a lot is still left to be decided. Currently the top four teams in their respective groups are as following:

Group A: Fnatic (6-1) coming in first with Misfits (4-1) close behind. 

Group B: Unicorns of Love (4-2) infront of a tie between H2K (4-2) and Splyce (4-2).

This friday Misfits will have the chance to tie with the powerhouse of Fnatic, if they can beat H2K, who aims to win the Bo3 and claim the second place over Splyce. You can watch the match 20:00 CEST Friday 30th, on

Prepare for an extremely loud audience

Riot games encourage the audience to bring their roars and chants as they prepare for the Summer split finals.
