Last year we welcomed new teams in Dota 2, Rainbow Six Siege & PUBG to the organization as we entered a new era in the history of Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP). In 2019 we are taking further important steps in transforming NiP as a team and brand. The fans are at the center of everything we do at NiP, and that is why we have decided to take big steps to strengthen that relationship further.
Today we are happy to announce that Casey Al-kaisy is joining the NiP family as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Casey will lead the Marketing and Commerce teams at NiP as we continue to push the boundaries and set new standards for esports around the world. As Casey begins his journey with us, he will be responsible for the marketing of NiP’s brands, content, communication, analytics, and e-commerce.
Joining us after a long tenure at Electronic Arts (EA) as Global Brand Manager, Casey will partner with our Business development unit to create meaningful experiences for fans and partners alike. With a proven track record at EA, he was able to help Battlefield become a billion-dollar franchise. With his passion for gaming, he managed to influence and instill best in class practices at EA for communication, customer service, live services, brand management, and e-commerce. Furthermore, Casey is a true gamer with a deep historical understanding of gaming and the business behind it.

I have been a fan of NiP since the early days of Counter-Strike. NiP has a legacy unlike any team and I am honoured to be able to join in the ranks of this legendary organisation.
I believe we are in a special era of gaming and I am looking forward to helping transcend NiP beyond what’s currently best in class in esports. The Ninjas in Pyjamas brand and legacy has been built with passion and organic growth over many years. During my period at NiP I have spent most of my time rebuilding and planning what is next for this iconic brand. As an organisation, we have finally arrived at a point where we are ready to execute our strategy and plans going into 2019.
Our focus going forward can be summarised in two areas; Competitive Performance and Fan Experience. To head and develop our Fan Experience, I am extremely excited having Casey on board as our new Chief Marketing Officer. We have had a lengthy process with over 500 applicants for this position, with us eventually recruiting an extremely experienced industry leader to head up all our marketing efforts. I am confident we have found the right Ninja to lead our marketing, media, merchandise, and e-commerce teams. Welcome, Casey!
