CS:GO Roster Update: Goodbye f0rest

It’s time for us to say goodbye to the last man standing from the original NiP.CSGO lineup. Our friend and long-standing NiP player Patrick “f0rest” Lindberg has decided to continue his career in esports elsewhere and as much as we’re saddened to see him leave, we’re equally optimistic about the upcoming year and what damage our new line-up can inflict.

Jonas Gundersen, NiP’s Chief Operating Officer, says:

Patrik is a true icon of the game with a long list of accolades and has been instrumental in the legacy and brand of NiP for many years. That is something that we respect immensely and will never forget. After having been with the same team for so long and achieved so much, it’s a natural thing to want a change of scenery. We have of course chosen to honor that request and wish him the very best of luck on his next adventure.

At the same time, it opens up an incredibly exciting opportunity to rethink the way we approach and execute our competitive structure and make long term decisions. Talent is peaking at a younger and younger age and for us to be able to invest in sustainable infrastructure and support around a lineup is absolutely fantastic. I couldn’t be more excited for 2020 and the years to come.

The task of filling f0rest’s shoes has been bestowed upon Tim “nawwk” Jonasson; a rising star who is not only up for the challenge but determined to create a legacy of his own. He’s proven his worth both in the Swedish as well as the international scene and is now ready to step up to the plate as a Ninja.

Please give nawwk a warm welcome to the NiP family.

Tim “nawwk” Jonasson says:

Joining NiP is an amazing feeling. It has been a dream ever since I started playing CS:GO and to be honest, it still feels quite unreal. I’ll be playing as a hybrid / second AWP:er and although that’s a new challenge for me, I’m ready to put in the hard work and show what I’m capable of. With this line-up, I see great things happening in the near future.

Do we even have to mention all the amazing things that f0rest has accomplished during his time in NiP? As the greatest person to ever install Counter-Strike, he’s created moments that’ll be remembered by the esports community for the rest of time and in our hearts, he’ll always be a Ninja.

We bid farewell to f0rest with the utmost respect and gratitude. See you around, gaming genius.

As the old era ends, a new one begins. #GONINJAS
